Are you high enough up in management that you get a key to the restroom in that office?

ParticipantIt was nice to see some sunshine this morning! Thanks bobco85 for the heads up that the Holmes Run Trail is reopened. Perfect day to splash in the creek a bit.

ParticipantThanks to TwoWheels for recommending Fort Hunt. Though I think he downplayed the hills. And I nearly got killed crossing the GWMP even though I patiently waited for my crossing signal.

Whaaaaaat? I stand by the accuracy of my description of those “hills”.

They weren’t too bad. I did do a fixie n00b “let me coast for a second after I crest this hill” when I got to the top of the first hill once you turn onto Fort Hunt Rd. But yeah, it’s mostly pretty flat, and the hills are definitely manageable.

I still do that every so often when I’m tired. It definitely wakes you up though!

ParticipantWell, I did this ride about 5 months ago (May 31), and creating a video for it has been sitting on the back burner for a while, so I finally sat down and got everything together for my 2nd of 6 rides to bike the Metro. By far the easiest, as the Yellow Line is the shortest of the lines (only 17 stations, not counting Rush Plus), but I am back in the mood to bike the Metro. Next up will be the Red, Blue, Green, and Silver (the whole shebang), and my goal is to have all of these completed by the end of the year. The Silver line will be a long and cold ride, but I’m willing to do it!

ParticipantFinally got some free time to explore the Holmes Run Trail yesterday. I’ve been passing it all summer on my way to DC, wondering about it. Fun ride, and close enough to get to from my house.

That day (back in May), I got turned around quite a bit when I got to DCA. Luckily, when I did my Alaska trip (I parked my bike at DCA), I had no trouble.
It was fun, though, riding the people mover with my bike!
