Fascinating. I suppose you could just lick yourself clean to get that sodium back in the system.

Given how little parking is available here, and how small Falls Church City is, I’m surprised more people didn’t cycle here. I saw three bikes parked in front, too.September 4, 2014 at 11:55 pm #1009185dbb

All you need to do now is get one of those Bikenetic flasks full of tequila!

As noted this is virginia creeper vine. Native to this area. Once established almost imposable to get rid of. It sends out roots that send up shoots along the way. One vine becomes 20 in no time. Pull them all and the next day you have 10 more foot tall vines popping up in the yard and hiding in the bushes
On the other hand the ruby throated humming bird likes them. Some will poke their beaks right through the side of the flower to get the sweet stuff.

According to Wikipedia this is also known as cow itch vine. Heehehehehe. I can’t believe I’ve lived here 15 years and never seen it before.

I believe this is trumpet vine (Campsis radicans), not Virginia creeper (Parthenocissus quinquefolia: note the second word indicating a requisite five-leaf formation). Pics.

That was my thought when I first saw that picture. No wonder so few people bike to that school.
That grade appears to be around 1,000%. I’ve heard of grade inflation being a problem in schools, but this is just blatant.
