Happy winter!
In the true Freezing-Saddles spirit of embracing the cold, I will be leading a ride to participate in this year’s Polar Plunge, hosted by the Chesapeake Climate Action Network.
More details about the Plunge can be found at the link above (also some details shown below).
Ride:
Date: Saturday, February 10
Time: 9:30am gather. 9:40 wheels up
Start: Washington Monument
Destination: National Harbor
Plunge: about noon
Party: post-plunge until 2pm
Return: On your own or ad hoc with othersPlease respond if you would also like to Plunge and not just ride (actually, respond either way – plunging or not). If we have 3 or more of us, we can create a Freezing Saddles team.

TAKE THE PLUNGE
By taking the Plunge, you’re committing to help raise vital funds for the work of the Chesapeake Climate Action Network as we organize to pass climate policies in our region and nationwide. The Plunge is also an opportunity to speak with your peers and family about climate change – and of course – it’s FUN! Before plunging, enjoy mingling with fellow plungers, grab a warm beverage, take action with us, make noisemakers, and even get your face painted before enjoying a short pre-plunge rally! Afterwards join us for pizza, a hot cocoa bar, and a FREE beer (Plungers age 21 and over).PLUNGE DAY
