Pointless Prize: Stupid Silly Bike Tricks

I’m offering a Pointless Prize for the best Stupid Silly Bike Trick. One of my favorite things about riding bikes is doing silly things. What counts as a Stupid Silly Bike Trick? Well, pretty much anything. Danger Pandas, Strava Art, and Wigglebillies all count. Ride to visit 8 donut shops in one ride? That counts. Riding up a staircase? That counts. Are you drevil? Pretty much everything you do on a bike counts.

To participate, post a picture and a description of the Stupid Silly Bike Trick you did on this thread.

I’ll pick the four submissions that I like the most. Winners will receive a bottle of Stupid Silly Sour beer:

Double points just because I always get a giggle when I seem a smol person on a bike with full size tires, much like I giggle when I see a picture of me riding the Kona Dew with 650 tires.

Hey Judd, the brewery in Silly, Belgium (yes, that’s how it’s spelled!) is just a short spin (65km with wiggles) from where I live…I’ll do a stupid trick, and ride there in a very “wiggly” route and take a picture. The art on the front is pretty cool! (BTW, that beer is really good if you’re into sours.)

Maybe not silly, but kinda stupid. Pointless, at least.

After work, and then after meeting someone for beers, I decided to ride way up to McLean (opposite direction of home) to capture a couple of “tiles”
My feet were really, really cold when I finally got home. Then I, also stupidly, got in a hot shower.

In my attempt to capture all the red lines on Freedom Plaza, I spent a while one evening riding back and forth and back and forth and back and forth and around and up and down and more back and forth, like this:

I love it! Reminds me of the time LeprosyStudyGroup and I were trying to spell out something on Strava using a paddleboat in the tidal basin. But we didn’t think about the “tidal” part of tidal basin. The tide was going out and we finally figured out that we were paddling against the tide and not moving at all.

Thanks for the schooling! I had forgotten about the #dangerpanda rules. Went back across the Pete Beers Memorial Bridge again today … it was crowd ed … for another attempt but wound up covering part of the lens with my glove [emoji3451]and forgot to remove my shades. Guess that I need to go back yet again LOL
