Current leaders are
Leslie T 33 quaxes
Komorebi L 31 quaxes
Chris Randall 27 quaxesTotal mileage ridden on quax rides does not matter unless we have a tie at the end of the competition So pay attention to the number of rides more than the mileage ranking.
You can do multiple quaxes in a day but only one per ride. So you’ll have to start a new ride for each new quax stop. There’s no minimum amount of miles per individual ride.
It’s an honor system. You need to go to a different business for each quax to count for a point. You need to spend money there but any amount. You can go to different locations of the same business if you distinguish them by location in your description (vigilante college park vs vigilante Hyattsville Can each be a separate quax)
And I am letting you be the judge of what qualifies as small business. The goal of this is to keep our local economies surviving so they can continue to employ our neighbors.
I am excited about the prospect of awarding gift cards to the winners, as a way of paying forward the stimulus check I’ll get whenever they pass this package, so that the winners in turn can pay it forward by their favorite neighborhood small businesses.
Keep on quaxing. When you quax, everyone wins.

Participant#BAFS2021smallbiz – Oby-Lee’s at 3000 Washington Blvd. in Clarendon. Home to the interesting combination of crepes and Polish food. We indulged in Polish food this time. I’m not in the pic, but my trike and purchase are! I like this place because each outside table has its own private greenhouse for social distancing (and warmth). More info on this place here: https://www.obylee.com/
