I flew into National Airport yesterday, nabbed a bikeshare bike from the new CaBi station and rode home. As I came up through the Crystal City Connector tunnel, I noted the Peruvian Brothers food stand. I also noted that I was hungry. Win-win.

Percentage dice are ten-sided dice. One counts by ones and the other counts by tens. In this way you can easier keep track of your “score” or “life” in Magic from 1 to 100 by adjusting which face of the dice are facing upwards. I also use them when I play D&D.

I don’t know what those things are either, but I have a couple of friends who would know what those things are and applaud you, so I applaud you.

The Riverdale Park Farmer’s Market is a year-round market that the Trolley Trail in PG County runs through. Recently I have been enjoying baked goods from RavenHook Bakehouse.

If you are ever on the W&OD, stop at the Herndon Centennial Golf Course for… what else? Filipino Food!

Egg Karne is inside of the Golf Course (there are a few picnic tables on the side). Karne means meat in Tagalog, so their specialties are egg and meat breakfast sandwiches. They do have some things for vegetarians and a black bean burger for vegans (I think the house made sauce has mayo, so be sure to ask).

Got coffee and a muffin at Northside Social in Falls Church, then worked on my bike at the Bike Club, another small, local business. I also am pleased to point out that the face mask I am wearing is from a small, 3-woman business in New York called Ichcha, that specializes in sustainable textiles from India.
