Probably unfair, since I play FS from Europe (for now)…but, I often plan P2P rides that involve a train to get to the start, or to get from the end. But, I’ll offer up some cool Belgian (and maybe Dutch, German or French) train stations.
Go for it! That’s why I invented the prize — to see what interesting things people come up with.

January 2, 2024 at 1:11 am #1127607murphyjmhParticipantI love this.
Side note – What are the current rules with bikes on metro now? I haven’t tried to take one on since pre-Covid so I’m not sure if it’s more lax or still no bikes during rush hour / peak times?

There are few restrictions on full-size bikes, except that you must use the end doors on the car, not the middle. WMATA also prefers that bikes not use the escalators (it’s listed as a “guideline”). I’ve not had a problem doing the “cyclo-cross carry” on stairs and escalators during low usage times–just be aware of your rear wheel so you don’t inadvertently hit someone. I would use the elevators during rush hour. The wider faregates are easier to navigate with a bike. Not a lot of rules and restrictions, unlike the “bad old days.”

January 2, 2024 at 6:06 pm #1127682Dachs6Participant#goldenspike – 2/1/24 – Leuven (Belgium). Fail, I captured the station, and the sign is off in the distance. I’ll have to go back.
On Jan 6, I passed through Leuven again but only to transfer. Now I have a photo with a sign (Belgian station signing is odd, sometimes)

Station is easy to access by bicycle and is near to Tuesday morning coffee club. (Outdoors at the Water Park and indoors at Mah Ze Dahr bakery). All are welcome, folks start gathering around 7 and start to leave around 8 or later.
