Path Less Pedaled is an online community built around bikepacking and touring, gravel biking, and ways to enjoy cycling in a noncompetitive world. Russ hosts a YouTube channel where he reviews touring bikes and gear, tells stories about both epic and not-so-challenging-but-amazing rides, and explores unconventional component variations in the Cave of Bad Ideas. He also showcases some of his drawings and even fly fishing adventures — all done by bike. His partner Laura works for Adventure Cycling Association. They live in Montana.

There’s hours and hours of entertainment on the YT channel, but also….
This morning Russ held his first ever virtual Coffee Outside meetup, via Zoom. I attended with about 20 others from places far and wide. Some of the conversation was about how to lighten up the pandemic shutdown by connecting bikey people online. Russ is mulling over ideas on how to structure Zoom sessions around more focused topics and guest speakers, so it can be informative, fun, and typically casual.
If you’d be interested in joining future virtual Coffee Outside gatherings, subscribe to the channel or get on the PLP email list.
Side note: I recently bought one of the watercolors created in Saguaro National Park East, where they rode the same loop we drove on our visit to Arizona last November. Cactus are awesome . Here’s the video of their ride: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CYxTxsx0d_Y
