Parking Near Mt Vernon Trail in Alexandria?

Hi, newbie here. Is there any free parking near MT Vernon Trail for commuters? Driving around this morning, it seems as if all street parking near Wilson Bridge is limited to 3 hours. I parked and Jones Point Park (3 hour limit, as well) and am hoping that my car is still there when I get back tonight. Thank you!!
