Final count was 49 volunteers which included someone who was riding by and asked if he could help.
The Friends of Mount Vernon Trail has weekly volunteer opportunities which are posted at mountvernontrail.org/events
Don’t let Steve O bogart all the knowledge on what multiflora rose and Japanese honeysuckle look like.

ParticipantI volunteered at a trail edging and ivy removal event this morning for the Friends of the Mount Vernon Trail, where I spotted the Forum’s own Grand High Potentate. Some photos from the event:

ParticipantI need three more volunteers for tomorrow for some Mount Vernon Trail edging. We will be attempting to fix two places where ice sheets form that have caused multiple crashes this winter.
