In honor of Martin Luther King, Jr (and an ongoing fight for social justice and peace!) I am sponsoring this Pointless Prize. Log miles traveled to and from a community service project or volunteer effort, now through the January 31. Use the hashtag #anyonecanserve and write a brief project description in your Strava activity title, and please post a photo capturing it either in the activity or here on this thread (no need to do both, but you must use the hashtag in order for miles to count).
Everyone wins here [emoji4] but there will be two official prizes given: 1) Most total miles in service 2) Most projects participated in
(Examples, if you need inspiration: riding to drop off food to a pantry or making another type of donation; going to help a friend/neighbor, helping out at a pet shelter… Must be VOLUNTEER work.)
This is short notice in advance of the official holiday on Monday, so we’ll accept “back-dated/edited” posts from Friday January 15, until midnight on Jan 31 2021.
“Everybody can be great…because anybody can serve.”—MLK
Thanks for participating!
