New Light Patterns

I noticed that more traffic lights in Arlington and DC are going over to the pattern where they give walk signals for 2-3 seconds before going green for drivers. The change has been somewhat incremental. I started seeing a few intersections changing a little over a month ago. Some, (like Lee Hwy and Lynn Street) have had this for a few years now.

Me likey. Looks like a good move to help peds. Hasn’t impacted my riding much though.

Nice to see some love for pedestrians on a bike forum.

Despite their lack of wheels, I love and respect them. Their carbon emissions are acceptable to me. I’ve even been known to walk or run places from time to time.
