I’m watching the flag across the street absolutely whipping around, indicating what looks to be steady 15-20 mph winds coming directly from the direction I will be heading in a couple of hours.
Friday afternoon winds were strong enough to knock over the parked bakfiets.

Looks like another great day to throw up a spinnaker if you’re headed south on the MVT this evening.

I noticed it riding to lunch and then back. It almost pushed me up a small hill. I am certainly looking forward to the return commute tonight

ParticipantI had a confusing situation happen to me on my commute home. On the WOD crossing Shreve rd, I almost always come to a stop. But there was a car there stopped waving me on. A fairfax police car. Should I stop even though he was waving me on or keep going and break the law in front of him? I kept going. Man these laws are cornfusing.

ParticipantI slow to make sure the other lane is clear put slow roll if someone is waving me on.

ParticipantThe one I hate is when someone stops in the middle of the street to let me out of a side street–no stop sign, no crosswalk. That’s just awkward.

ParticipantThere’s nothing like 39 and drizzle/light showers for a good time.

For a good time call 1-800-LIT-DRIZ. Spoke broke last night, guessing metallurgical fatigue from weather and my eliteness.

I broke a spoke Wednesday, but the weather was nice. So definitely my eliteness.

Since you’re obliged to follow police traffic direction, I think this is the one case where it’s actually legal to roll on through.

ParticipantOn the rainy Monday, I was bikeometer #258 at about 6:20 PM. Sad.

ParticipantLeft work at 8:15 pm … West on M Street .. and then a nice long ride along a dark, deserted CCT (save for several families of deer who seemed surprised to see me). All my cold gear held up, except I need something to keep my toes warm (2 pairs of socks not cuttin it). Got home at 10:30ish.
