Hey, get back to (commuting to) work! And someone else on this forum, you need to get the other broom I gave him to help!
Just because I’m on the other side of the country doesn’t mean I can’t still nag you to help :p
Rode in today. Just a few old remnants of a bottle near the airport so I didn’t put the broom into service. I haven’t hidden one in the bushed because I am afraid it will end up like DBBs…

I have reconciled my loss. The broom is free.

ParticipantI got a flat this morning on the MVT after passing the airport, which could have been caused by glass (though my tires need replacing too). Thanks to Paula and Tony for the help.

And neither of them stopped you from the blatant rule 49 violation? For shame.

ParticipantGlass reappeared between last night and this morning. It’s under one of the overpasses going into the airport at the north end of where they repaved the trail a year or two ago. I’d say it’s the 4th or 5th time he’s hit this particular spot this summer. I did not notify NPS because I’m lazy.

ParticipantThere was a whole bunch of glass today on the bridge just south of the 4MRT turn off. It wasnt there Saturday AM so I assume it happened last night.
This is a new spot for glass from what I can remember
. It was totally covering the trail in 2 areas on that bridge so biking or walking over it was unavoidable. I hope the glass breaker doesn’t keep moving south…

ParticipantThere is broken glass all over the region, though. In bike lanes, on roads, and on the less heavily used trails. Just sayin’.

As someone who got a flat tire last weekend due to glass, I can say that the greater Seattle area has this problem, too. That said, a few days ago I saw a street sweeper pass by on the road (which has bike lanes) by my apartment complex, and I swear I had the same reaction as if an ice cream truck had arrived

ParticipantThere was glass at 5-6 spots on the MVT this morning, between 4MRT and Gravelly Point: the bridge that Erin posted about yesterday, both underpasses at the south end of the airport, at least two spots north of the CC connector, and the curb cut by the Gravelly Point portapotties. I left a voicemail with NPS maintenance.

The High Life Low Life must have had a very refreshing vacation to have been so ambitious last night.

Maybe he was locked up. Hard to imagine that he walks the line off the trail.

ParticipantLooks like there’s a new shattered bottle on 4MRT just east of the Rt1 overpass. This is close enough to the area of assholery that it could be the same guy…. I’m so over this crap.

ParticipantIs there a place to hide this?
Infrared (invisible) flash. Motion detection. Will capture video clips w/ audio (but capturing audio might be a bad idea for legal reasons). $110. Accepts 6xAA batteries and up to 32 GB SD card.

Participanttrey197 reported on Strava that there’s been a game camera hidden in the trees for weeks. It doesn’t seem to be doing the job, though, because there was glass on the MVT airport bridges this morning (and an NPS maintenance crew sweeping up the shards).

ParticipantPerhaps it needs to be repositioned.
