It’s been awesome year of improvements on the Mount Vernon Trail. Thank you to several board members who have volunteered and donated in 2023. The Friends of the Mount Vernon Trail made 864 trail improvements this year, including the removal of 348 trail bumps. We doubled the number of volunteers this year and provided over 3,500 hours improving the trail.
There’s still a lot of work to do towards our goal of making the Mount Vernon Trail better. We have several volunteer opportunities at https://mountvernontrail.org/events
We also currently have a fundraising appeal with $1,000 of matching funds not yet met. If you’d like to donate to help us do more in 2024, visit http://mountvernontrail.org/donate
