ParticipantHere is a statue of Haym Salomon in Pan Pacific Park in Los Angeles. I had not heard of him, but evidently he was an active patriot in revolutionary America.

The plaque reads:A Jewish immigrant from Lezno, Poland, Haym Salomon arrived in New York City in the years preceding the revolutionary war. He was arrested by the British as a spy. Following his escape, he assisted the Continental Army as a purveyor to soldiers. He provided supplies and financial assistance while traveling with the troops withdrawing from New York. After moving his family to Philadelphia, he became a broker for the Office of Finance under the Superintendent for Finance, Robert Morris. Fluent in several languages, Salomon was invaluable negotiating sale of war aid from European countries, including France and Holland. Haym Salomon donated most of his personal effects and financial holdings to the American Revolution. He died Jan 6, 1785 in Philadelphia, PA.

ParticipantThis sign commemorates when Rockville became a county seat in 1776 and a town in 1803. Also, this was the site of the Hungerford Tavern where local met 3 months prior to the Continental Congress in 1774 to protest the oppressive actions of the British Parliament.

Is that like taking a picture of a building that allegedly has #publicartfinder inside? Or of a dry puddle that supposedly once was a #lakefinder (in a past geologic epoch)?

ParticipantHere is a sign letting you know that there are over 1,300 memorials/monuments at the Vicksburg Nat’l Military Park. I figured this would suffice. I’d never get out of the park if I had to include the bike in all of them.
