Saturday, 3/12 – “Continuum,” a monument to the relationship of humans and animals in from of the Purdue School of Veterinary Medicine in West Lafayette, IN
Sunday’s monument selection was tough. I was Indianapolis and there are so many downtown. I went with the historical marker on the Monon Rail Trail next to the State Fairgrounds and the mural for Major Taylor on Washington St in downtown. I like his uplifting message more than the reminders of how often we have been unable to resolve our differences peacefully.
Thomas Sprigg Wootton was an elected politician who created Montgomery and Washington counties in Maryland. The high school in the background of this photo is named after him. This sign is located on Wootton Pkwy.
