Plaque commemorating a blacksmith shop located at this site in Herndon from 1906 to 1955. Another Herndon blacksmith shop belonged to Henry Simms, the first African American business owner in Herndon.

Memorial to Paul Mellon. Among other things, he donated land to the state of Virginia for the creation of Sky Meadow State Park. (I was so intent on being able to read the sign, I forgot my bike so I did not #monuments but I wanted to share this interesting fact.)
