ParticipantIn honor of Black History Month, memorials that celebrate African Americans are worth 2 points. Two rules:
1) still only one submission per day
2) you cannot re-use a previous entry, however you CAN revisit a memorial and submit a new entryUse hashtag #blackhistory Feb 1-28.

Have you been to Ft Davis yet?
I did the Big Bend ride in 2017, so yes, been to Ft Davis and the big circle through the Chisos Mountains. You know, that fort and county are named for former Secretary of War, Jefferson Davis (1850’s) … before he went on to other jobs.

ParticipantYesterday’s ride included Francis Lewis Park at 147th Street and 3rd Avenue in Whitestone, Queens, NY. He was one of the Founding Fathers of the US who signed the Declaration of Independence. My elementary school was named after him as well as a major street in Queens.
