To the jogger heading the opposite direction who warned me of the approaching car behind me as I was turning to check, I hope you heard me call out “Thanks!”.

To the drivers on Shreve road who insist on passing me by crossing the double yellow line into oncoming traffic while I’m going the speed limit. You are going to kill someone, idiots!!!

Do you really want them to exercise their other method, which is to pass you without crossing the double yellow line?

True. That would be going over me. It just amazes me that people are in that much of a hurry to risk lives.

You: Guy driving a Silver Cab (that company seems to be out to get me)
Me: Riding legally in the right lane, right where you decided you wanted to drive without checking if it was already occupied

Let’s just say that I’m thankful that fatherhood has taught me that there are times when one must raise one’s voice, and has given me opportunity to do so. Apparently enough opportunity, actually, that my voice is nearly as effective as a car horn when the need arises.

Sorry to the northbound cyclist on the MVT near DCA last night. I didn’t mean to blind you with my headlight. A ninja jogger startled me and I didn’t cover my light in time!

Sorry to the eastbound cyclist on the Custis today around 545 that I blinded. You had on a red and black jacket I think and yelled “light.” It was a rough ride home for me. I got a puncture by the SW Waterfront. Took me forever to get my tire off and a while to get the glass out. I was drained coming up the Custis and didn’t see you over the top of a little hill. I try to make sure I cover my light but didn’t get my hands out in time because of climbing. Sorry for the blinding, which I know is tough when going downhill.

You: Northbound on the MVT by the airport fence, 7:55 PM.

Me: Driving southbound on the GWP to go eat tasty tasty Döner.

Your headlight: AMAZEBALLS. You owe me a retina. :)

    A worthy reason to drive!

Where do you chomp Döner? They are so delicious. I’ve wanted to try the place in Leesburg (that also just opened in Adams Morgan), but haven’t yet.

The Doner Bistro is great! Makes a good metric century turn around point from Arlington.

Sounds like a DC based Happy Hour type of place!
