ParticipantSure, why not? Left hand off the handlebar – no hands! Right hand holding your phone to take a selfie of you riding with no hands, while looking to your right, into the camera. While going down a hill.

It boggles my mind that people out for an exercise-type ride go anywhere near the MVT on a nice afternoon/evening on a holiday weekend. And then to have the audacity to bark at people out jogging or walking? I did hill repeats on city streets yesterday for precisely that reason.
Totally agree. I headed up to 22207 for hill repeats yesterday morning before the rain. To get home, I took George Mason (from Yorktown Blvd to the small Four Mile Run Dr) and finished with one more climb up Superman Hill. You can’t get that level of workout on any of the local trails unless you’re willing to run over people.

There are 2 Strava segments by that name, but they are in Germantown, WI and Wichita, KS, so nowhere near 22207.

Superman Hill is the climb up Walter Reed from 4MR (up from the WOD intersection where they might one day build a new Phoenix Bikes).

Walter Reed north from Four Mile Run. It’s not the name of the segment, though.
https://www.strava.com/segments/700075Actually 5 segments

ParticipantThanks for the clarification. Yeah that one is a doozy.
So what’s the over/under for how many of the people on the strava leaderboards drove up the hill in their cars or motorcycles?

hozn is #2… you can ask him! My guess is the faster motorized trips have been flagged there. Whoever is climbing Meade – Rhodes westbound (strava segment) at 27 mph is going faster than I think is possible.

Those numbers don’t look too far fetched–it’s only a 22 foot gain over .3 miles.

Ahh yeah. I missed the key bit about the units. It’s in kph, not mph! Big difference.
Still… Hans, how many CCs on your bike?
This segment is messed up too…
https://www.strava.com/segments/1522932I’ve driven and biked over that bridge a lot. It’s in such shitty shape that 42mph seems impossible in a car too.

Yes, he obviously switched to his car at mile 7, since after the bridge he hit a high speed of 65 or so along the Anacostia Freeway. I flagged it.

I mean 1300 Watts seems doable. Right?
So how the heck do you actually flag a ride? I’ve looked and looked for that with no luck.

ParticipantThe other day I came across a guy who had KOM’d the “Behind the Buildings” segment in Crystal City at 60+mph.
His profile consisted of 5 rides over the past 2 years, all of which were named “Train Ride from XX to XX”.
He had a few 80+mph KOMs too.
I should have posted the account here because it was hilarious, but I had my grump hat on that night and just flagged them all, sorry.:rolleyes:to flag a ride you gotta click on that wrench icon
