I forgot to mention watch out a black Honda Accord with license plates DD 8372 driven by this maniac: [video]https://youtu.be/k5lvx79uazo[/video]

Unfortunately it was toward the end of my filming segment otherwise I would have his license plates in the same film (i dont have fancy editing software). I caught up with him at the traffic light that he’s slowing down for in the video and got a clear shot of his license plates. It looked like he was dressed in a blue WMATA uniform. I decided not to engage as people who pull those kind of stunts don’t have any regard for life and it’s not worth escalating.

My lawyer has already contacted your lawyer. I’m not sure what happened, but I think we’re both more poor and they are more rich. Glad that’s over though. Let’s have lunch some time.

We badgered the waiter into bringing more pretzels so he brought a large stack. I’ve had my fill of pretzels (though the corn dog appetizer is what did me in) so you are off the hook.

Holy shit that’s close. Did you report to the police? What do we do again in these situations where dick bags drive dangerously without an actual collision? What finally prompted me to get a camera was a bag of trash who raced me to a stop light so he could right hook me from the left lane as I was entering the intersection. I never got a plate number though.

Last Thursday I left work in Tysons later than usual and turned on my rear light. After getting home in Falls Church, I didn’t need to turn it off because it had fallen off itself. If anyone sees a Thunderbolt taillight between Tysons (Gallows bike lane) and Falls Church (W&OD to Railroad Ave.) can you let me know? It has a “K” in silver sharpie on the underside.

I didn’t, but I probably should even though I know they won’t do anything. He’s one of the worst offenders I’ve encountered over the years, but similarly a few close calls is why I bought the camera.

I swear, drivers cannot wait 2 seconds and insist on endangering everyone around them. On my commute home, I cut off Beacon Hill Rd and through a few residential streets to avoid being on Rt 1 for very long. In this case, I’m driving down Smithway Drive when jackaloon in his suv decides it’s a good idea to pass me, with an oncoming vehicle, and as we’re about to start going downhill. Lucky for all involved, the oncoming vehicle comes to a complete stop to avoid a headon collision. The saddest part? Since it’s a quick downhill, I catch up and have to hit my brakes to then avoiding hitting jackaloon from behind. I hate people like this.

I swear, I was enjoying my morning commute too much to care what this lady did.

Me: riding on George Mason Dr just after it changes names from Seminary Rd near Skyline, taking the right lane
You: (BEEP) in your SUV
Me: turns around to take a look
You: driving halfway in both lanes, (BEEP) again as you cut me off while waving with your hand for me to go to the right a.k.a. “get out of your way” about 100 feet before the light in front of us turns red and you have to stop
Me: stopping behind you with a gap of 10 feet (I don’t mess with drivers who might be road-ragey) and waiting patiently
You: (hopefully feeling awkward that you just beeped at someone to get out of your way for a red light just ahead) avoiding to look at any of your mirrors
Me: tempted to wave, but I did give an amused smile

This is where I use the GoPro. I turn around, ostentatiously point to the camera, and announce they are being filmed (and maybe make some head motion that looks like I’m capturing a license plate number). That’s all I say or do.

Ninja mom with ninja stroller this am, again, on the W&OD. Misty, low visibility, dark and you are splitting the center line in dark gray clothing with dark stroller. What is it going to take for you to get the idea that a 180 pound person on a bike moving 15 miles an hour is going to accidentally run into you and your child?

Previously purchased and handed out blinky was never seen again. Can we all gang up on this one and talk some safety sense into her? Often (barely) seen on the WOD between Vienna and Gallows road in the 6 am to 7 am time frame. Dark everything.
