I never misread anything – and that reminds me, I’m STILL mad about that girl who gives the finger to cyclists every single day!

ParticipantTo the two girls on cabis I passed while driving on the Whitehurst Freeway: Holy Crap! I don’t feel safe on that road in my big metal box with the inflatable pillows.

Eastbound Whitehurst off the Key bridge is fine, although it would be better if they turns some of the grates 90 degrees. (Grates are probably not a problem with the 2 inch CaBi tires.) I think it is worse once the road becomes K street.

ParticipantThis was westbound, I was coming off 66 about to go under triangle park.

ParticipantThe Whitehurst is fine as long as all the slower car traffic stays out of the way: http://www.strava.com/segments/964707

ParticipantNot really a missed connection, more of an annoyance…
You: Guy drafting off of me Saturday morning for a good 4 miles on the W&OD. I would have appreciated just a hello to know you were there initially, instead of you spooking me. Also taking the lead when given the chance would have been nice.

I will usually start whistling, riding without hands, and letting loose with the tailwind of vengeance when this occurs, which is rarely, because weekends are my days off the bike and the number of these dudes on the W&OD is epic.

ParticipantPretty sure Dickie ignored me when I yelled “NO VISORS” at about 6:30 on the MVT last night. Granted, we were heading in opposite directions and it was kind of noisy, but I feel slighted regardless. I thought we wuz friends hoss.
Also, if you got shoaled or passed too closely by a super heavy dude stuffed into a about-to-bust San Diego Padres jersey last night allow me to apologize. First day back on the bike after dealing with dehydration and exhaustion last week. It didn’t help I was also trying to adjust to some fitting changes and the new cassette I installed, but still, no excuse for being “that cyclist” that we all love to dump on for not being a PAL. Hopefully tonight will be better.

ParticipantMe: Driving (gasp) in Annapolis on a nice little residential street (the one I grew up on)
You: Making a left turn into my path.Look, I know you were going downhill and had some speed built up, but don’t. You had a stop sign, and even if you didn’t, you were on the wrong side of the road.

ParticipantYou: young lady in a bright orange Suburu Impreza going south on S Illinois at 4th St S in GlenCarlyn about 7:25 this morning. Yes, you did have a stop sign and you really should look up and see what is on the cross street before you decide to ignore it.

ParticipantYou: passing me in the opposite direction under the airport bridge by the Crystal City connector tunnel and yelling “Bang” as we squeezed by each other. Not funny.

That was probably me, I was in a bit of a…. yawn…. fog having worked a 30hr weekend and a long Monday… apologies… what part of the trail was it? I seem to recall hearing something and I looked around but chalked it up to geese fighting…. not that you sound like a goose…. oh god, I’m digging a hole right?
