Hi. My turn to start this thread.

Observed on the Columbia Pike/Southgate Rd detour:

Somebody listened! The “ramps” at both east and west ends are wider and actually halfway safe.

Also, there *is* a bike rack at the temporary back entry to the Air Force Memorial. A “wheel-bender”, true, but at least it’s something.

If you choose to take the lane at speed going downhill eastbound, the right lane remains safe. The left lane is quite broken up in spots. Your call.
