    That makes sense. I work for Motivate so I should know this stuff. :p I was told Lyft owns the equipment now but the linked article says they bought Motivate, not CaBi, so I think I was misinformed.

    My understanding is that they own the CaBi Plusses though.

    I think that’s right – at least for the current pilot. (More generally speaking, the setup for CaBi is different from Citibike, which as I understand it is privately owned and operated by Motivate/Lyft, as opposed them only being the operator.)
