Got a call from NiteRider today to confirm my light was repaired and charge me a $20 bench fee. For replacing the external issues with the USB cover, the cracked case and some internals that had water damage ( according to them ) not bad
Light arrived in the mail last night. It looks like they replaced the rear half of the casing with a new piece. I know I could have bought a newer version of this same light for around $50 or a much brighter one for under $100, but I like that this company will repair the defective parts and prolong the use of the original as long as possible.
I hope this thread gives someone an idea of the turnaround time to expect if they need to go through this process.
