So. Kidical Mass Arlington. If I organize it, will they [y’all ] come?

Thoughts? Reactions? Route suggestions? Would anyone come?

Despite a very very busy May and June for me, both of those weekends (5/18 & 6/15) are free on my calendar, so I’d definitely be up for throwing the Kid-O in the trailer and showing up. I cant make the April 28 event up on Cap. Hill, so the Arlington ones would be good for me.

Are Saturdays or Sundays generally better? We usually go to church, so Sunday rides would be after 11:30am…

The June Sat or Sun morning could work for me but I wouldn’t say I’m too into dragging a trailer very far.

Sundays are -very broadly speaking- easier for me. Saturdays would have to be late morning (after 11) or afternoon.

    Here was my thought:

May 18th (MegaBeth…) or 19th – KidicalMassARL soft opening (first ride, but not as widely publicized, to work out kinks)
June 15th or 16th (Father’s Day!) – KidicalMassARL INAUGURAL AWESOMENESS RIDE
July 20th or 21st – KidicalMassARL hitting our stride ride
September 21st or 22nd – KidicalMassARL harvest ride (aka last official ride until next year)

October whatever-it-is-this-year – KidicalMassARL joins the family ride at the Arlington Fun Ride

So basically the 3rd weekend of every month, but not August, because no one is around in August. And either Saturday or Sunday.

Thoughts? Reactions? Route suggestions? Would anyone come?

    DOOO EEEET!

Might be able to make it, but we’ll most likely drive over.

So, yeah, can I borrow someone’s kid? ;)

Seriously though, since I am actually sans kid, I’m good for eyes and ears and to bring up the rear during the ride. Would love to see this happen in Arlington. Rock on, dasgeh!

The little one and I would be in. Saturdays are daddy daughter day, so I’m still calling the shots while I can. Sundays might be doable as well.

You can borrow two if you want. I’ll be in the beer garden. There is a beer garden, right?

When it would work out schedule-wise, I would definitely attend with my son in tow. Either day works equally well.

I was going to say that we have two, but someone beat me to it.

Seriously, though, “support” vehicles – either cool childless folks, or “extra” parents – would be much appreciated. In fact, this might be the kind of ride (slow, easy, fun) to get a bike-reluctant better half out on a bike for.

Thanks for all the replies. I’ll firm up the schedule and announce.

    Two quick things:

    1) Kidical Mass ARL or Kidicial Mass Arlington?

    2) Tim, can you move this baby over to the super-awesome family biking thread?

    Thanks?
