    I found this little bit of erosion during a quick off-the-path detour I took while walking Difficult Run

    That foundation there..that’s the toll road…

    It was here: http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=5386634, just barely out of the line of sight from the trail.

    I imagine it’s been like that since Irene as the whole plain there shows signs of damage from extreme flooding.

    Forwarded those along to Vienna’s DPW, who forwarded it along to the DOT, and got a nice ‘thank you for shedding light on this hazard’ message. Gave me a little pick-me-up on what has become a rather un-motivating week.

    When they don’t fix it, will that in turn damage your moral?

    The toll increase that none of us cyclists will have to pay though!

    Wish that was the case. I have to pay to get to where I park to ride from.
