A late start for this. The air was bad, I guess the trails weren’t so much.

An update on the “plastic boardwalk” that detours the Four Mile Run Trail around Dominion’s substation work:

This is the grippy coating just applied to the boardwalk. It “has more tooth” than the green paint we’ve seen elsewhere, but nowhere near the coarse grit sandpaper texture in many parking garages. Though judging from the dark groove along the path, it does nibble on tires.

So, now safer in the wet. We will see how durable the coating is. Dominion Energy and/or Arlington, thank you.

Dominion installed a ramp at the Glebe Road substation to address the narrowed driveway apron.
