The local humor still eludes me… I assume that puppies refers to some kind of food and is not a reference to our quadruped “friends”?

    Your assumption is incorrect.

I just rode home. There is already white stuff all over the trails.

That was an awesome ride home. West of Gallows on the WOD, snow was beginning to accumulate in all the usual spots (portions of the trail that don’t get warmed by the sun during the day), so dammit, I want some snow credit for BASF!

One of those Canada Geese potomaccyclist was talking about, trying to disguise itself as a snow goose.

Yes, we will all be studs for riding tomorrow morning.

I’m reluctantly planning to use studs tomorrow. Unless there’s no snow on the ground when I wake up .

Unfortunately I do all my bike switching and maintenance at the shop, so I put on the studs last night… you can all thank me later, no snow, no ice.

MVT was only wet from DCA to 14th Street Bridge. I saw no cyclists on the trail this morning!

The wind driven rain was bracing. Trail in good shape. Garmin showed it a bit under 32F (0 for Dickie) on the bridge.

Mixed mode for me today. Only 2 miles to metro instead of the usual 15 to work. I just don’t trust drivers when white stuff falls from the sky and roads are possibly slick. They seem to panic and do stupid things. I was lucky the first time I got hit. Want to avoid testing my luck a second time.
