In person happy hour canceled

[FONT=&amp]I am sorry to announce that the in-person happy hour has had to be canceled. Cases of COVID in DC have risen 252% in the past two weeks, and are now at a higher level than at any previous time in the pandemic. And that’s even before Omicron has arrived here in any great numbers. And even with boosters, the vaccine is only about 70% effective against Omicron. We didn’t feel it was responsible to hold a potential superspreader event.

I’m still doing my happy hour raffle, but made some changes to the rules since we’re not doing an in-person happy hour.

It’s always a bummer to have to make a call like this but I also think it’s the right call. With the spike in cases I was planning on skipping happy hour and am now avoiding most in person interactions.
