Today as I was waiting to cross Independence Ave. at First St. I heard yelling and turned to see a fast-moving cyclist hit another cyclist. The first one went over and fell pretty bad, but later it looked like he wasn’t seriously injured. I think he had the green and was yelling at the other cyclist for crossing in front of him on a red light (she was one of three or four crossing on the red).
It’s a good place to have a crash, if you must, since there are cops there 24/7 guarding the Capitol. They had the intersection sealed shut and the cyclists getting aid in just seconds.
Everyone be careful and remember that you may not see a problem until it hits you.
