    Hi,

    My wife and I have very nearly cycled around the world and are heading to DC! We are a British married couple who left home over 2 years ago and have been pedalling east ever since.

    We’ve heard how great it is to cycle around the monuments and landmarks of DC at night and are very much looking forward to this.

    We are having some trouble trying to find a Warmshowers host in Washington though. It seems there are many hosts but many aren’t currently hosting, or are out of town this weekend. We met Steve O in Cumberland yesterday as he cycles towards Pittsburgh and he recommended we use this forum to find a host. Is there possibly anyone out there who can host us Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd July?

    Hoping the magic of the Internet will find us a place to stay in DC

    Many thanks

    I unfortunately cannot help with finding a host, but I can help by helping (is that redundant?) my fellow forumites put faces to names. Steve O posted a pic of you guys on this page: http://bikearlingtonforum.com/showthread.php?p=143337#post143337

    I hope you find a host and enjoy your stay while here!

    Bumping this in the hope someone can help in some way.
    They have camping gear, so even if you can offer a yard that might suffice.

    I am so bummed that I am unable to host, especially being an expat myself. We have family in town this weekend using our guest room which also means I am not available to partake in a ride either. I hope you find something, wish I could offer more. Your journey is inspiring and I hope you find DC to be friendly and welcoming. Wishing you the best of luck and God Speed.

    I just found this on the Internet

    [h=1]After cycling 39,000kms, couple’s bikes go missing at Shannon[/h]
    The good news is they got them back

    And proof that they swung by here:
