Holmes Run Trail – bridge behind 4700 Duke Strret

The abutments for Holmes Run Trail Bridge at 4600 Duke have been completed. The contractor has been cleaning up the site. According to contractor staff, the replacement bridge is expected to be installed on October 5, 2023.

• Holmes Run Trail at Dora Kelly Park – TBD (likely winter 2026) project will be coordinated with the design of a new bridge crossing to replace current fair weather crossing
• Holmes Run Trail Bridge at Morgan Street cul-de-sac – anticipated start fall 2023, completion fall 2024
• Holmes Run Trail Bridge at Ripley Street – anticipated start fall 2023, completion fall 2024

Talked to a contractor staff person at the project site this morning, bridge is expected to open by July 31.

Bridge was open as of 1 PM today (when I walked across it)

I rode across the bridge yesterday for the first time and it was great not to have to jump the curb to take the detour through the condo parking lot.
