I met a few folks on a recent ride who mentioned the bike Arlington team costume group directly and was speculating on the group costume this year. Made me think that Hello Kitty & friends may not be as well known as other years. Any thoughts on how we could make this more Hello Kitty-ish?

There’s my fifteen minutes of fame right there I’ve been puzzling how to differentiate being dressed as Badtz-Maru from just being dressed as a penguin. One option I thought of was to wear a t-shirt of the character, which would explain who I’m supposed to be but would make it a worse emulation of the character, since Badtz-Maru doesn’t wear a t-shirt with his own picture on it.

I’m not clear on how a taco relates to Hello Kitty.
I suppose one could make a taco with kitten meat, but that seems an obscure connection.

What length are people thinking of riding? This year’s routes are 18, 49, and 64 miles. I miss the 30-ish mile option they had in previous years
