I’ve got a 5 yr old who thinks she’s Evil Knievel and a 3 yr old, who’s just getting his cycling legs under him. Where might be some good trails or parks to take them for a leisurely ride without getting in the way of real riders? I cycle four Mile Run and WO&D and i know those trails can be congested and busy during commute times and on the weekends. Any recommendations?
    thanks.

I haven’t given this a lot of thought so I am not sure I heartily endorse either of these, but would suggest:
Bluemont Park, particularly around 4th and Manchester where 4 Mile Run goes by the disc golf course and playground
and also 4 Mile Run Trail where it goes through Arlington Bog.

Hope your 5-y.o. is a “real rider” before too long.

You might also want to look at Four Mile Run trail through Bluemont Park…a couple loops through there might be fun.
