ParticipantMade sure to get in a Haines Point lap for March yesterday. Had a great leadout by team Nissan… I mean, the Xterra was pulling for me pretty well, then he gave way to the Murano…

ParticipantInteresting, as of now Rod Smith and I are tied at 3319 points, I’ve got one more day, but he has ten more miles.

ParticipantLooks like the last nine days are going to be heated. Stiff competition for both first place team and first place individual, and for both fourth place spots too.

ParticipantDo you think we’ll hit 75,000 miles for the total?! Somehow we’re gonna have to get the total miles into a Washington Post article.

Your direct commute is so short that you couldn’t even benefit by taking Metro! I take it (well, the bus) in the rain, with rides at both ends. There is no shame in doing this.

this.Agreed- no shame whatsoever in Metro and also agreed that I get no benefit out of WMATA. The most direct route for me -via D5 bus- is virtually guaranteed to take longer than bike commute.
Just a poorly referenced (see Reddit “Meth…not even once” meme – or, on second thought, don’t) attempt at humor.

That should be Metro’s new tagline.
I seriously lost the will to live on the train into work today. Mostly that’s because I have a horrible cold and don’t really have the will to do much of anything, but a great deal of it was the train.

Like. I got a cold on Sunday (probably while taking the kids to the local rec center pool) and while the first 5-10 minutes on each of my commutes this week have been tougher than usual, after that it didn’t feel like I was sick at all. Until I got into my office building. *hack*
