I hit the max speed under the Whitehurst Freeway. The data shows me in the middle of the Potomac River, traveling upstream. My droid phone was “mounted” in my pocket.

Rough timeline of my #BAFS commute:

**imagine 60 Minutes stopwatch ticking

5:00PM: check Weather.com. 43 and cloudy. “Sweet, I don’t need rain gear.”

5:20PM: walk from building to bike rack (located in garage) in pouring rain. “Okay, guess I DO need the rain gear.”

5:21PM: put on rain gear, readjust pannier accordingly

5:25PM: exit parking garage. rain has stopped. “fuuuuuuuuu…..”

5:25:15PM: “Maybe I’ll stop and take off my rain coat…nah, I’ll just sweat it out.”

5:30PM: sweating profusely, still not raining.

5:35PM: “do you not see my 300L blinky??? yes, people still ride bicycles in the rain a-hole!!”

5:38PM: sweating profusely, still not raining.

5:39PM: “do you not see my 300L blinky??? yes, people still ride bicycles in the rain a-hole!!”

5:42PM: sweating profusely, still not raining.

We just need some long weekend rides but not from me.my legs are feeling the effects of all these miles. I better have lost at least 5 lbs this week
