- Tomorrow is time to start riding. Yes, we know you haven’t been assigned to teams yet. However, once you are, all your miles back to January 1 will count.
- Freezing Saddles puts a premium on riding every day, because the first few miles on a day count more than later ones. It’s 10 points for riding at least a mile, plus another 10 points for the first mile, 9 for the second, etc., until it is 1 point for mile 10 and above. So for example, if you ride just one mile each day, you would have 180 points by the end of the happy hour. If you wait and try to make it all up the day of the happy hour, you’d have to bike 125 miles that day to catch up.

- Please go ahead and register. Here is the link. It’s true that we can’t have more than 250 participants, and we already have more than that. However, we always have some people who register and then don’t show up, or who get injured during the competition. People on the waiting list will be used to make up those slots.
- Time to start riding for you, too. If you are admitted off the waiting list at any point during the competition, your miles back to January 1 will count.

- Pointless Prizes start tomorrow. There are 14 of them so far, and you can check them all out at this link.
- The Photo Scavenger Hunt is open only to those who are on teams (although if you register for a team, you can start playing now; you just can’t win unless you’re on a team by the end of Freezing Saddles). All the other Pointless Prizes are open to Friends of BAFS as well as people on teams.
- For Bicycle Bingo, you’ll need to register (at this link) before midnight tonight. For all the other Pointless Prizes, you can just start playing tomorrow.
