Registration is now officially open for Freezing Saddles 2024, and will close at 11:59:59 pm on Saturday, December 24.
If you do not want to compete, but just to participate in the social aspects:
In this case, you don’t need to fill in the registration form. Here are the instructions to be a “Friend of BAFS.”
If you do want to compete:
The registration form is at this link, and the deadline for submitting it is December 24 at 11:59:59 pm. As usual (and unavoidably), the process is a little complicated, especially for newbies. However, you’ve got two options for figuring it all out.- The registration form itself takes you step by step through what you need to do, if you read all of it. This list is also repeated on the “Success” page you get to after registering, and in the e-mail you will get confirming your registration. (Really, we are quite thorough in explaining it all!)
- Below is a list you can refer to, with a link for each step.
- After using one of the two methods shown above, check to see whether you show up on this page. If you do not, you skipped either step 6 or step 7. Please try again!
The list is as follows:
- Fill in the registration form.
- Click on the link in the confirmation e-mail you will receive, giving us permission to send you e-mails. This e-mail may go to your Promotions, Social, junk, or spam folder, so please check there if it does not arrive. If you do not find it anywhere, you will need to send a private message to cvcalhoun, so that she can add you manually and your registration does not get canceled.
- Register for the Washington Area Bike Forum.
- Make at least one post on the Washington Area Bike Forum. if you have nothing in particular you want to say or respond to, you can use this thread to make a post introducing yourself.
- Register for Strava.
- Join the Freezing Saddles 2024 Strava club.
- Authorize Freezing Saddles to read your Strava miles. (Very very important! Not doing this is the most common reason people don’t show up on the leaderboard!)
- Watch the Washington Area Bike Forum in early January for team assignments.
Now please check to see whether you show up on this page. If you do not, you skipped either step 6 or step 7. Please try again!
