Five’s alive

Team five has been too busy riding to bother with forum chat. But, don’t worry, we’re alive!

Five or six of us were at happy hour last night and had a very nice time. It seems quite a number of us are in MoCo, and others either live in or commute to DC, so it should be possible to get part of the group together for rides without too much trouble. If you can’t make the team rides, propose some more, or be shameless about infiltrating other teams’!

I believe we’re still waiting on a few people to join our Strava group.

Great! I think you can just click “request to join” to get into the group (at least, I was able to).

If there are any specific non-brewery destinations you’ve been meaning to hit up (e.g., distant coffeeshops, bagel joints, etc.), feel free to suggest some. Personally I think we should crash one of Team 7’s coffee meet-ups in College Park one Saturday.

Hey Curtis — Great to see you in the Strava group, but I don’t see you on the FS leaderboard (indiv or team) quite yet. Have you authorized the leaderboard to read your Strava data (incl. private rides I think)?

Hey everyone,

There’s a little Groundhog Day festival next Thurs in Dupont Circle, around 8:30 – 9. There’ll be free coffee, polka, and of course Potomac Phil. It’s on my way to work so I plan to swing by if anyone would like to join. Afterwards we can go to Krispy Kreme across the street to hunt for any Groundhog Day related donuts and try to also pick up some doughneuring points!

Hey team, not sure if you saw the thread about the donut ride extravaganza on Sat. 40 miles and 6 donut places. The start is in Bethesda and the last stop is in Silver Spring but you can join in anytime. I plan on joining for the second half starting at Astro.
