February Road & Trail Conditions

Arlington’s Dept. of Parks & Recreation *is* tending to its trails. This is the Doctors Run Connector, between S. Quincy St. and George Mason Dr.

They have addressed several areas of dangerous erosion on the downhill side, and made a “desire path” to the playground much safer to use.

Can anyone tell me why the Zoo Loop in Rock Creek Park is closed?  No signage or “detour” routing.  I’d have loved to take the road if I had known beforehand.  A real PITA on a busy day going through the tunnel.
