Custis From St Ann’s Church to Mount Vernon Trail and MVT from there to Humpback bridge (and trail to Pentagon) are free of ice. Including bridges and overpasses.

As of this morning, signage indicated that the MVT was still closed near DCA (related to the airliner disaster) until 2/10, which is today.

The Bladensburg Park Pedestrian Bridge is now open after its decking was replaced. Ditto for the boardwalk downstream from the Bladensburg Waterfront boathouse.

The announced closure was until midnight last night.  Any reports from this morning?

I didn’t go that way I was heading up Eads to CC anyway, but the closure sign was still present at Eads and 4MRT (maybe they just haven’t gotten around to removing it?) And there was still tape etc at MVT just south of the 14th Street Bridge.

Edit: FOMVT reports the closure is extended to the 12th.

On the chance that this will actually be seen… The demolition of the old Marriott Key Bridge Hotel has begun. What detours are there on the Custis Trail?
