February 2017 Road & Trail Conditions

Big tree down around milepost 9 (Georgetown end) of the CCT, with no easy way to get around it. I doubt it will be cleared by morning. Clambering over the with my bike was possible but non-trivial. Coming south, there’s a spot to duck onto the C&O shortly before the tree, but coming north it’s not so easy — “reverse” commuters tomorrow morning might want to jump onto the C&O ASAP after Georgetown until after the obstruction.

Yep, still there this morning, and lots of people having to climb over, under, or around it. I reported it to DC 311, and am hoping it will be gone by evening.
