The attached event has already occurred, but provides an example of an agency event that is open to other agencies/folks.

    Flexible benefits for greener commutes

    Supporter —

Does your employer offer you free parking? If it does, and you don’t drive to work, wouldn’t it be better if you could put that benefit to use for walking, biking, or transit? We think so!

Join us to talk about what we can do at the local level to encourage flexible commuter benefits — benefits that create less traffic and pollution, and make a happier workforce.

    Changing the commuter equation:
How we can use flexible commuter benefits to
create less traffic and pollution and happier workers
    Thursday, February 9 | 6:30 – 8:30 pm

Right now, the federal tax code gives a great incentive to drive to work, allows for an equal transit benefit, but does little or nothing to reward the most sustainable commutes like walking and biking.

How can we build upon DC’s existing policies to further encourage sustainable commutes? Join us to find out.

    See you there!
