Cross posting from the Arlington BAC listserv

The Airport Authority is looking at road and parking changes at DCA

This will likely impact the use of the MVT. The link below gets you to the draft environmental assessment for the proposed road and parking changes at DCA:

The proposal calls for modifying the trail at the south ramp

The south onramp onto northbound GWMP near the Airport Access Road (SR-233) bridge would be
widened to provide additional merging distance. This may require a minor shift of the Mount Vernon
Trail and the Mount Vernon Trail would be widened slightly. A safety barrier may be installed between the
widened GWMP onramp and the realigned trail. The Mount Vernon Trail crossing of the south GWMP
onramp would be enhanced with lane markings and signage, including rapid flashing beacons, to improve
safety for trail users. The potential for a future grade-separated crossing is under consideration. Light
poles in the vicinity of the onramp would be realigned and replaced in accordance with NPS GWMP
    design standards.

The only mention of the CC2DCA bridge is in the abbreviations table (based on a word search). It would seem to be prudent to include some discussion of the two projects.
