    I have the Specialized Diverge: Carbon, disc brakes, internal routing (but I also have Di2), clearance for 35c ties (32c with fenders). I love it! It has Roubaix geometry so it’s similar to what your looking at now.

    I have the Jamis Renegade (one of the options mentioned by Dirt in his hugely informative post) and love it.

    It does not fit your criteria completely in that the bottom bracket is an EVO PressFit 30, not the best of choices but I was so enamored with the bike that I decided to go with it anyway.

    Cannot say enough good things about the bike, which I daily commute on and have also ridden centuries on (trying desperately not to get dropped by Boomer, but that is a different story that has more to do with my excess fat and low horsepower legs than the bike).

    I even like the Shimano Ultegra group (love the hydro brakeset). And that is coming from a Campagnolo guy (although I am secretly overjoyed with the announcement of a new Campagnolo full groupset with hydro discs…).

    It was perfect… then it said square taper. I am so far down the frame rabbit hole.

    The bike will be found!

    …… and i watch a youtube video on changing out square taper and converting to hollowtech…. as always, I will leave my ignorance open for all…. possibilities!

    Square taper would still fit your criteria though…the only difference is the FSA crankset is JIS and not ISO, meaning only the taper is different. It’s the same tool and BSA threading for both though. Or am I missing something?

    If you’re looking to keep things simple and do all your own work, a square taper BB is super easy to work with; you will likely need a crank puller tool if you want to take the crank off, but that’s pretty simple. It also should use a standard, threaded BB shell, which was one of your original wants.

    Way jealous. I had an Exploit on order (for a commuter/backup steel bike) but there was no definitive delivery date. I cornered the local Jamis rep who happened to be in the store when I stopped by and even HE couldn’t tell me if it would arrive anytime soon (and he was aware I’d order a different brand if I couldn’t get a delivery date).

    So went with a Rove ST.

    Interesting request — my wife’s shop has two Jamis Xenith Endura Comps from 2014 model year. Three out of four on your wish list I think. You can read their specs here (large PDF), page 66-ish.

    I’m not allowed to buy bikes off the floor or else I’d have snagged the 56cm when it went on sale last month! -Jeff

    Yeah there’s a difference between a bottom bracket, and a bottom bracket shell. You are looking for a British ISO/threaded standard BB shell in your frame.

    You can put a number of different bottom brackets in there. Including a square taper, Shimano Hollowtech, SRAM GXP, etc. That build just happens to have square taper.

    I’ve converted three of my bikes from square taper to Hollowtech in the past few years. Not difficult, although probably better to do it before you put a bunch of miles on the existing crank/BB set.

    looking at the components on all the levels of the mango bike, i’d probably just go with their cheapest one and just do a full replace for 105 or ultegra. so there would be very few miles indeed.

    It even has mounting points for full mud guards… I could actually look like a year round commuter if i wanted too!

    My impression is that this is a lot more common spec on UK bikes.

    I was really interested in Mason before they announced their pricing. £1500 for a frame is titanium territory; heck, custom ti (from Habanero).

    Side note – the B’Twin Alur 700 is so wildly pretty and affordable. It is a shame they put a stupid pressfit system of their own making on it.

    You know you could just buy an inexpensive (metal) frame and drill holes for the internal routing, fit grommets and then grind off the stops. The internet has pics; looks like a fun DIY project.

    I often look across at some of the UK offerings. They seemed a little quicker to adopt disc brakes (I guess since it’s so rainy there) and have more all around road/utility offerings, with mudguards very often standard across ranges.

    I comfort myself by riding one of my bikes (Genesis Day 00) that I bought when over there. That model line has now morphed into this over the years:

    I bought a generic carbon FR-602 last year that I built up into a cross racer (tubular, Di2, hydro disc, 1×11 gearing, <17 lbs). It has relatively slack geometry for a cross frame. Internal cable routing, BSA bottom bracket, 135 rear spacing, disc wheels. I've been very happy with it.
