ParticipantCouldn’t get a picture of it today, but I saw a repurposed and urbanly-moblie Mobike, lock clipped, and spray painted, riding up K St thru Mount Vernon Square.

I’m always suspicious of numbers likes these, because there are a lot of underlying assumptions that aren’t stated (and might not be true). There’s a lot of substitutes for transportation that make it difficult to determine impact on traffic or carbon emissions. Some of my CaBi rides have a been a substitute for walking, some for a bus ride, and some for Metro, and some for riding a personal bike all of which have a different carbon and traffic impact.

ParticipantThe folks at Jump Bikes were kind enough to give me my very own offer code. If you sign up for a new Jump Bikes account using the offer code Jump4Judd you’ll get four free rides!

How long will the “Jump on Judd” offer last?

The Jump on Judd offer has a much more limited audience…
The Jump4Judd offer code is good through the end of the year, but there were also a limited number of uses (I think 30 or 50) so you should sign up immediately. If the code stops working, holler at me, and I can probably get a new code established.

ParticipantSaw a post on POPville that we now have dockless e-scooters to deal with. The world is doomed—I just don’t know if we’re doomed because they’re dockless or we’re doomed because they are e-something.

It’s stopped working. If you have a new one, let me know.
