December Road and Trail Conditions

Starting this month’s thread. I believe the Bluemont Connector Trail in Arlington may be closed for a while due to the home explosion last night. No doubt it will be the site of gawkers and rubber-neckers for a while even longer. Use caution.

Please update if you know it to be open.

South of Wilson the Bluemont Junction Trail is open.

The bad patch of trail bumps on the north end of Gravelly Point were removed on Saturday by Friends of the Mount Vernon Trail.

A live report at Noon from WJLA Ch. 7 indicates that section still closed. Probably from George Mason drive up to the Holiday Inn.
