now you must purchase and wear a kit based on this jersey and ride around for a day holding a sign that says “please give me my 80s street cred back!”
Holy Crap I will own that, oh yes!

Cycling has entered ice dancing territory. We will never get any respect if this continues….

I’m going to pretend that that is a DayQuil-induced hallucination and I didn’t actually see it.

But they’re perfect for Rex Kwon Do. No one would want a roundhouse kick to the face while you’re wearing those bad boys.

Those ARE a roundhouse kick to the face. Or at least the eyes.

…The labels need to be dropped. Defining someone as an “Elite”, “Roadie”, “Commuter” does nothing more than divide us, and that just bums me out. I have been riding in this area for 6 years, and 30 years in total, and I have no doubt that the majority of cyclists out there are idiots no matter what label you assign them….
I have two labels for cyclists: Idiots, and Not Idiots. That pretty much applies to any other set of people, too.

Whoa, I just looked him up on Wikipedia. Quite a character. He definitely should have gone into figure skating instead. And I thought this year’s LiquiGas kit on the TdF was bad (contrast stitching around the chamois is always a bad idea).
Can’t believe some folks considered Cipollini to be a sex symbol. Yuck.

I need one of his Tron skinsuits so as to appear sufficiently Elite.

Haha, yeah I also thought the contrast stitching was a bit too attention grabbing.
But Cipollini’s stuff was awesome! It was unique, and supposed to be over the top, and he had the results to pull off the look. Pro cyclists train as hard as figure skaters; nothing wrong with dressing like one.
Also, it was the 80s.
(aka awesome)
